Description: This layer contains an inventory of sidewalk segments with condition ratings. Information about the sidewalk segments include the type of sidewalk, the width of the sidewalk, failures on a segment, and the road name the segment is along.The data on this site was compiled by a County contractor in 2024 utilizing a combination of mobile mapping, LiDAR, machine learning and AI technologies to identify and classify sidewalk conditions throughout the County along County maintained streets. The data from the survey was converted to a numerical sidewalk condition index score (0-100 scale) based upon the number of surface condition issues per segment length and then a qualitative rating category was assigned. This is an experimental program, as no industry or national standard, or standardized methodology exists for sidewalk classification.
